Rick J. Kennon

Mr. Kennon was born and raised in Cleburne, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University in 1981 and his law degree from the Texas Tech School of Law in 1984 and was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 1984 and before the U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas in 1987.

Mr. Kennon started as an Assistant Travis County Attorney prosecuting criminal cases from 1985 through 1986 and then worked as an Assistant Attorney General from 1987 through 1988; He went into private law practice in Austin beginning in 1988. Since that time, he has concentrated his practice in the area of civil litigation with primary emphasis in the areas of insurance defense, family law, and probate matters.

Mr. Kennon Practices in state and federal courts and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Travis County Bar Association (member of the Family Law Section), and the Williamson County Bar Association.
